Re: egg cartons- parts. These have been replaced by Plano boxes, a growing number of Plano boxes. Luckily they are cheap at Homey-D.

Here's the state of the egg boxes to date, although I just bought two more and have parts on the way... more when the BYOC store is working again...

But here's a tool I use a lot for cables and for pots...

Neutrik plugs require a different jig that I'm working on later to hold the cable and plug in line and to snug them down. They are a pain but people like them.

All of those are useful tools, but I'd miss the wire strippers and side cutters more than anything. After having a set of nice wire strippers, it is painful going back to the old style hand strippers.

I haven't used my wire wrap tool in years, though. I used it a ton on an old flight sim I built, but these days it doesn't see much action.

it's the reverse tweezers I use most of all, what I do is use a heatsink clip (mentioned earlier) and then hold the heatsink clip flush with the board to make the component nice and straight + safe from heat

Hi all,
I'm very new here. But, I've left a trail of death and destruction enough to probably get a nod from other DIYers. After reading all six pages the only thing I thought may be of use to add is one of those round rubber jar openers in your kitchen junk drawer. If you have to pull a non-set screw knob from a spline pot shaft off they don't damage the surface and give you tremendous purchase for cheap. :)

Here's a printable coupon for you to use: http://www.dealsoff.com/images/harborfreight0228.jpg
