ordered what you think is only one part from a guitar parts website and only a few days later you have no idea what you ordered. You have searched the receipt, paypal, website to no avail for a desc. I think I deleted the actual receipt.

Kind of exciting though you know

I've definitely ordered stuff and forgotten that I ordered it, only to be surprised when the package comes in, like PIFmas style :) But not yet remembered that I ordered, but forgot what it was...

This is why I have a firm "no mouser.com" rule when there's alcohol around ... big exciting boxes arrive, and they leave big exciting holes in my bank account!!!

Sometimes the stuff arrives and I can't remember why I ordered some of it. I think it's old age TN.

It's not the age my friends, it's the adrenaline rush you get when you fill up your cart just a little bit mo
Last night I ordered 200+ ICs from china, from bed, using my gayphone.
It felt good
So what did I really need? 2 ICs for the aquapuss build.

You've been hanging around Grindy too long

Do you have a lonk for that source? Must have been some good prices?

Here you go John:

The Lonk is a domestic sheep of a specific breed, found in the hills of the central and south Pennines, in the north of England. The name "Lonk" derives from the Lancashire word "lanky", meaning long and thin, usually in a person.[1] Their range extends into only two counties; Lancashire and Derbyshire. Also known as the Improved Haslingden, the Lonk is of the Blackfaced Mountain type, and is similar to the Derbyshire Gritstone, apart from the absence of horns in that breed.

Characteristically, Lonks have black-and-white faces and their long legs are well suited to the Pennine environment of rocky hills and peat bogs. They are extremely hardy. The Lonk is raised for carpet wool and for meat.[2]. The Lonk Sheep Breeders' Association is based in Burnley, Lancashire. There were fears during the 2001 epidemic of foot-and-mouth disease in the UK that the Lonk breed would become extinct but this did not happen and the breed still survives.

I like how your Ipad thought that you were more likely to be referring to a breed of sheep specific to Derbyshire and Lancashire than to an URL...

I get stuff in all the time and can't quite recall what it was intended for.

My problem is that I get the "next big idea" ...every 18 hours or so.

I need to start using the "order memo" feature that Mouser, Newark, and other resellers offer.

I'm really surprised that the site you ordered from doesn't have some sort of order history or account system that you can use to verify the order.

This is pretty dangerous too ... it gives you one click access to ordering tons of stuff on a whim ... I stopped using Mouser's project order sheets and stuff for just this reason!

Yeah, that's cool stuff.

I was actually talking about the little form field that you can use as a note to yourself about what the order is for. I know both Mouser and Newark offer this. Most of the smaller parts sellers don't.

It's great because that memo shows up at the very top of the invoice/packing list. So you can see right away that this parts order was for "Crazy tube amp project I'll probably never get off the ground"

I have a few of these saved as projects at mouser. Thankfully I haven't mixed alcohol and mouser.com and ordered one...

Well, it probably does but I couldn't locate it  Heck, I even poked around on the site for a bit wondering what it is I ordered   You might think that might even jog my memory

Can't wait to turn 60 once I turn 50 soon.

So this is what came in. I can't believe I forgot I ordered this and this is after I just talked with Morgan about the 4way switch and what I might want to get for the Tele build

^ Well that's cool! and while you have the control plate off you can try the upside-down mounting thing too if you're like me and a) hit the switch accidentally all the time and b) never thought of turning it around on a Tele which is so easy to do.... Try that with a Strat!

Yeah, I'm undecided on that. Guess I'll dry fit it to see what I think of the look and again I don't know why I would care about the look because this Tele don't look nothing like a traditional one anyway.

The other thing is I've never played a Tele so I really don't know if that swtich would be an issue for me or not in a drunken stooper while playing a terrible version of Mary Had a Little Lamb !

I thought the same thing. If I recall right someone mentioned this in another thread a week ago that I think Tone was in too. Simple yet never thought of it or have even seen it that I recall or I guess recognized.

Yeah I forget who mentioned it but my first thought was 'why the hell didn't I think of that?!'

Bill Kirchen has been flipping that control plate for a long time.

My Tele is a semi-hollow beast, so it doesn't have a plate, just the funky pick guard.

Yet................
 :P
