Hey guys heres a pedal that I just built for my dad. Its his birthday on Sunday, and he's been looking for a good chorus pedal. This is a Madbean Pork Barrel with the depth LED/LFO mod (which I highly recommend). All in all Im pretty happy with the simplicity, tone, and feel of the chorusing effect.

Hey thanks!

The new grounding just makes more sense to me, and actually I find it easier. I was worried about noise issues, but it seems like that is not an issue at all with this method. The Ground bus becomes the central grounding point.

+1. I really like that idea. I don't recall seeing that as a normal course of one's builds.

What is the reason you didn't jumper lugs 1 and 6 of the stomper? Or, put another way, why do I jumper them

I also don't know what is cooler. Having a dad who plays guitar, or having a son who could build the dad any pedal he wants !

Hey, you know Im not sure why I dont jumper 1 and 6. I just have always followed Barrys 3PDT wiring diagram which didnt include it. On his 3PDT PCB's its there, but again Im not sure why. Good question.... too bad I dont have an answer

Everything I am able to do now, I learned or gained a basic knowledge from watching my dad. Growing up I hated working with him....now I see what he was trying to do.

Hmm, by not jumping 1 and 6 I assume you don't send circuit input to ground when bypassed.
Really early here, but I think that is correct

What kind of wire are you using for the ground bus ?

Is it a paper clip

Yep, that's it. Grounding the input of the effect when bypassed eliminated self-oscillation (a rare occurence with some designs, particularly high gain stuff) that can sometimes bleed into the bypassed signal. It's not necessary in most cases, but it never hurts! I do it on everything now, just 'cuz.

Its 24 gauge ground bus wire, I buy it by the 50 foot spool.
