Sales clerk: "Oh, did you check the hardware store down the road. They carry stuff like that."

Me: "No they don't carry what I'm looking for. I usually have to source online because people don't DIY anymore."

You’re right. Sorry for my part in that. I’ll try to bring it back home…

You might be a pedal junky if you ever wondered if breast implants came in germanium instead of silicon, and if that would give them a softer feel. You’d also have to worry about symmetry, but that goes without saying.

I never made a joke about my product… You did. Then culturejam joined you. Then I joined in asking what you did since you’d “gone and done it”. It’s an old joke that we all know the punch line to. There’s nothing wrong with joining in a joke that’s at my expense. It’s being able to laugh at oneself.

To keep the thread from going out of control let’s take anything else off line. You guys can always call me at 615-896-8555. I can’t help but think most of this comes from bad first impressions from forum talk. I know I’m guilty of that. Maybe talking ear to ear can ease things a little.

You got your wife to paint your pedals

Your legs are asleep from reading this thread with your iPad in "the office"

The office - awesome.

You bought a commercially built pedal and the first thing you did when you got it home was not to plug it in and see how it sounds, but rather pull it apart to examine the circuit and components.

...You add polarity protection and powerfiltering to every circuit you build, even if it's needed or not, cuz you enjoy the 2 extra components.

...you are cleaning out your garage, open up a case (old pedal board case) and find a DIY pedal in it and have no memory of building it or what it does. :? You plug said pedal in and find it to be one of the best sounding drives you have. You wonder WTF is it doing in the case. :? You open said pedal to find that it is a rehoused behringer from a decade ago (one of your first forays into pedal modding/building). You throw it back in the case and move on.

You have had to keep a straight face when your wife/gf/so asks "I wonder where all the chopsticks/paintbrushes/tweezers/paper towel/??? has gone?"

you plug into your rig, right where you left it a few days ago. Turn on the amp, pedals etc. And damn near blow your ears out because your 3 year old found the pedals and decided that "all of the knobs look better turned this  way".
