Well it's out but hasn't hit any distributors yet.
I've seen it on Ebay for $65 for 4 bottles, with US shipping it's right around $100!
I don't need it that bad.

The can says it's an "Imperial Red", whatever that means. It was good, you should definitely keep an eye out for it!

And the uncarbonated bottom of the bucket. A little sweet. Weird with no bubbles...

Starting off with a bit of The Sixth Glass. One of the Boulevard Brewery's Smokestack series. 10% alcohol content and it tastes delicious!

And moving on to the elusive Chocolate Ale. They do this once a year and it sells out within hours. You have to either follow the truck around at 6am when they deliver, or get on a waiting list at one of the stores that carry it. It's a collaboration between Boulevard Brewery and renowned chocolatier Christopher Elbow. Since it sold out I've seen pricks on Craigslist selling bottles for $100+. My study buddy Brenda followed the truck and scored 6 bottles

Nice, TD. I brewed about 2 weeks ago. Mini tiny batch. Sortof a cream ale type of thing. Be sure to share your tasting notes. :)

I also grabbed this one earlier. Man, is it tasty!

"Ale brewed with parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme."

A collaboration between Dogfish, Victory, and Stone. Three of my favs.

Holy fuck. I'm wasted. Aquavit has me by the brain bananna. It tastes like eating a chunk of rye bread. No shit. Waaaaay too tasty for me on a sunday. Stumbling on to my headphones now with hopes that I won't post anything in the "Now Playing" forum. Y

To this day, and I've been on the lookout since my introduction to it in 1995ish, I've only ever seen the Danish variety with the odd spelling 'Akvavit' in the US.

That's totally f@cked up John. Norwegian/Swedish akvavit eats Danish for breakfast.
Count, how was the chocolate ale? You lucky bastard

I'm pretty sure Kunfuz just volunteered to send us some samples, John.

I'm sorry the pedigree of my Akavit offends. Unfortunately I've had no luck finding the "real" deal. Still, I found it delicious and look forward to tasting it (or its betters) again 8)

The chocolate ale was good. Worth the hype? Probably not. I do prefer it over pretty much any chocolate stout I've tried so far. It's light and doesn't taste like drinking a cupcake.

I really dig that Sixth Glass and recommend it highly.

No worries count0! It's just that it's 2 schools of akvavit. The Danish and the Norwegian/Swedish. 8) the one I like is aged in oak barrels and gets a more robust taste with whiskey notes. And Denmark and Sweden has been nemesises for eons
