DC that stuff really isn't terrible. The lo-fi quality of the recording actually lends itself well to the style of music. I'm digging it. I'd buy one of those 7" records off ya. Seriously. I must just be once again living up to my screen name, but I like those two tracks!!

Ok I will admit, they sound suspiciously alike and I would surmise that if i listened to more tracks from wild transistor outfit, they'd all sound alike. But I'm okay with that.

This has potential ... as is I can see why you put it in here, but it's not far from being a decent song - in particular the vocals are nice, they sit well with this type of music. Now the lyrics ... well ... 8)

I also went through a "rap" phase which I'm not too happy about but luckily for both me and you I can't find any of that crap

Yeah - wait - didn't you do a few of these, and weren't they awesome???? (Hint: the answer rhymes with "mes mhey mere mawesome.")

Yes! This is perfectly BAD - the kind of music that you 1) hate, 2) want to hear more of and 3) gets better with booze!!

More, but this one is actually slightly better - I think being able to hear any vocals at all helps it. And there's something resembling a riff there! This could be a Stooges look-a-like party band from back in the day (wait ... was it? Were you the Iggy????)

HA! Thanks! Yeah, my poetic skills leave much to be desired. I was just happy to work in the "silence is golden" screen card  Oh, and actually tracking "eh-ugh" 3 times.

After listening to everyone's submissions, I'm pretty sure 95% of these should be re-classified as "un-released demos". No shit. Especially you DC and PPG. I haven't heard a crap track yet (myself excluded). Most of these sound to my inexperienced ears as works in progress.

And Eric, "Nutmeg", made me walk into my bathroom and seduce MYSELF!! But,to be fair, that happens several times a day( very healthy prostate!). Anyhoo, in the spirit of submitting things that we did, but almost wish we didn't (but learned from anyway), I give you these nuggets..mmmm, nuggets...mmmMMM, NUGGETS!!!

Korg MS200, some HM Strat, a Behringher V-VAMP 1, and that tiny stick mic that used to come with every craptastic Gateway for vocals. I had to hide under my desk to keep the mic from feeding back. UGGHH!!

http://soundcloud.com/cervyx/al-dente

Some V-Amped guitars, and some drums...

http://soundcloud.com/cervyx/razorlace

More crap to follow...Enjoy?

CZ, that stuff isn't bad at all....In fact, Al Dente is kind of good, in fact. Not my style of music, but I'd listen to it again.

My previous stuff didn't turn you off? Ok, I reached into the archives to our early stuff.......

Desert Rat Loves His Kitten Princess - Yes, there is a chorus, which, actually isn't that bad and allows you to hear some vocals, but you have to get through about 75% of the song before it comes in. Not your usual pop song structure.

http://soundcloud.com/dcountry13/wto-desert-rat-loves-his

I Don't Wanna Die In Baltimore - This was actually the A-side of our first 7" and the opener at all our shows. Usual all four of us guys sang the "chorus" part is our sexiest girl voices simultaneously out of tune. My son just laughed, right now, and said those are funny voices.

http://soundcloud.com/dcountry13/wt0-i-dont-wanna-die-in

Then like any band, we sold out at the end. Found our 60's pop group sensibilities and envisioned this duo of songs on the last 7" to be our 'Pet Sounds". Unfortunately, selling out usually means polishing the sound. We didn't get that memo. We got the memo that said "Singer must sing higher, bass sounds must be almost non-existent and recording must be as thin-sounding as possible".

The day we recorded these was the last time I saw 2 of the other three 3 guys in the band.

http://soundcloud.com/dcountry13/wto-its-april-i-fear

http://soundcloud.com/dcountry13/wto-mysterious-guises

I should have the missing 7" on Monday...it is the peak of the Shitrock. Plus, I found some other gems while going through the box of old band tapes. So my quest to not impress will push on.......

Recorded with 7 other tracks in a weekend in September -98 by myself on a Fostex 8 channel reel to reel.
Featuring clean "vocals" for the first and almost last time
Extremely untight middle section, awful vocals and cheesy endsolo.
Funny note: The three of us here had only played our instruments since april -96
guitargeeking: epi SG to mr crybaby/superchorus into my 50w JCM800 with DD-3 in loop.
Enjoy!

Kunfuz, how dare that guy talk so loudly over the solo? Seriously, it was worth it just for the galloping short part just before solo. That music is so bad, it proves you're Swiss.

I havent yet discovered celtic frost when i recorded that session :P

http://soundcloud.com/kunfuz/solsken-07-dagiscentret-i
My most successful band, and it suits this thread like a boss.
The bassplayer in Talion and me swapped instruments, shared the "vocals" and drafted the worst drummer we could find.
The name of the band was Solsken, sunshine for you english.
We tried to be anti everything, and play really bad, still people came to our shows and bought our shit. Irony defined.
This track is about EU, and its called "dagiscentret i bryssel. Daycare in bryssels to you

Recorded on same fostex reel-to-reel summer -98 with metalzone straight into mixer.
Swedish HC attack. Got 31 more tracks for ya from same band, we played everything from pop to blackmetal, many times at the same time...

Back to the first Talion-demo from 98.
Can you spot the Slayer-riff? I swear, i hadn't heard the first 2 slayer-albums when i wrote this.
2 years later I was like "WTF, slayer stole our riff back in 85"

I don't know if this will work but it's awesome. I was probably 16 or 17 as was my friend who did the vocal part. I did the guitar part but it was only a rough scratch of one riff, which he sang over using distortion on the vocals

Not sure if this works, soundcloud won't work for me

I have about an album worth of recordings from highschool, I should finish those songs...

Or shape DOWN, really. I guess at the end of the day, even our worst stuff has some merit, right? However, based on the samplings, I won't expect any of our names being mention in the "Jimi or EVH of 2012" thread.
