Wow, that's great!! I've often wondered about putting other pedals into a wah enclosure......

+1 Wonderful build and pics.
How'd you relic that enclosure? Looks like it was buried in the dirt then burned, along with that matress.

Really like the burnt/rusty look.

Did you repair a hole in the enclosure on the corner beneath the LED? There must be a good story behind that.

I'd love to see a Basic Audio-only pedalboard!

Great work, John.

Ha! Good call on the mattress springs.
I pulled apart an old mattress we were using so I could
take the metal to the scrapyard and trash the cotton...
They make a nice backdrop with the rust and depth of field.

There was a hole in the shell from an old modification.
I tried to fill it with an aluminum rod and torch but it got the
enclosure too hot before the filler metal melted and the whole
corner semi collapsed. I filled it mostly but left the ragged hole
at it worked well with the look I was going for.

I used acid to etch the enclosure along with heavy course sanding
and grinding. Thinned Asphaltum for color as well as shellac and
polyurethane. It probably took 20 coats/etches/color application
to get it to where you see it.
Experimentation is key, do it!

Wow, look like you found it on the bottom of a tarpit
And use the mattress skeleton for a DIY Rambo electro-torture device
