Hi everyone I just bought a 5 knob prebuilt and it's not quite working. The ratio knob lets the clean signal through but when I crank it, nothing's coming out. In other words no wet signal, so none of the other knobs do anything either. Are these symptoms indicative of anything specific or just that it's not working? I've reflowed all the joints and I don't see any obvious breaks or connections that shouldn't be there. One suspect area is that the Ba6110 is actually soldered to the sockets which I haven't seen before But I'd imagine it would still work...
My next step is to try to desolder that completely but any suggestions before I try that? I think it might get messy...

yeah... it indicates you should have bought that 5KC from ME instead!

sorry, wish I could help. You're probably just gonna have to get out a signal tester and start probing away until you find the break in the wet signal path.

You're blending between two paths so you know the clean path is good and working and that the compressor path needs work. Pictures always help.

Don't worry about the chip yet. It's usually not that.
