I hope it's something simple I'm missing. I put it in line with a couple other pedals (this one first), and I got no sound. The LED's are working when I turn on the switches but still no sound. I took it off and the other pedals had no problem so it's definitely this pedal. The only thing I did different is put one of my own LED's in for the switches... I was only sent one out of the two.
please let me know what you think...thanks

Someone way smarter than me will be along shortly, but here are a few things you might check in the meantime:

It's hard to tell from your photo, but can you confirm that the jumper from lugs 4-9 on the boost side footswitch isn't touching lug 8 or the exposed wire going to lug 5?

There appears to be a pretty big blob of solder on the middle lug of the input jack. It's probably nothing, but it might be worth cleaning that up a little in case you have a cold joint.

And the most important thing: we'll need to see photos of the solder side of the PCB.

Good luck! The mods here are very sharp and will likely help you get yourself running soon!

Thanks Scott........It's not touching but it sure looks like it in the picture. It's actually the wire you see humped over everything in the middle. it looks like a blob but the wire is almost perfectly twisted and tinned, not to boast myself, I just got lucky.

I did something and it's working but only when the boost and overdrive is engaged. when the boost is off the overdrive is very quiet, but when they are both off, nothing is coming through the pedal.

Word. And please make the photo of the solder side bigger than these--we need to see more detail.

No signal with both the OD and the boost off sounds like a problem with the bypass wiring through the footswitches and / or possible switch failure. Switch all to bypass and use a multimeter set to continuity or a low resistance range to check that all connections are made as shown on the circuit diagram.

If you don't know how to do this - here is how.

Look at the circuit and trace all the connections through the pedal starting at the input jack, through the first switch and so on until you reach the output jack. Once you feel you are familiar with the bypass signal path through the pedal, then look at the physical pedal and try and identify the paths you see on the circuit as they are actually realised in the pedal.

Connect one probe of the meter to the tip of the input jack. Touch the other probe to the PCB pad where the input wire is connected. If you get a very low resistance reading or a continuity indication (a buzz from the meter for example) you know that the input jack tip is connected to the input of the PCB. Move the probe along to the next point in the circuit where the signal leaves the PCB to wire to the switch and check again for continuity.

And so on ... until you reach the output jack. Somewhere along the way you should find you lose continuity. Your fault will be just upstream of that point.

Its hard to tell from your pic but I think you may have flipped the 3rd and 4th wires on the right hand footswitch.

Errm well like I said - wire from pad 5 on the PCB on the boost footswitch (that's the switch on the right looking at the back of the pedal with the jack sockets facing away from you) appears to go to tag 4 on the switch and wire from pad 4 appears to go to tag 5 on the switch. These are the two wires that appear to cross over each other.

5 should go to 5 and 4 should go to 4.
