I know this may be very hard to gauge and/or compare, but what online stores have you been given extremely fast processing/shipping times? I guess most of this will be focused on the processing times because the shipping varies with your location vs. the supplier.

BYOC shipped very quickly for me (thanks!) and I've had an order from Mammoth processing for 2-3 days now (if they worked over the holiday on Monday). Waiting for parts to arrive can be very painful as most of you probably are familiar with  Just curious on any input.

Thanks!

Newark Electronics. Once I ordered parts at 3pm and it was delivered the next afternoon at around 5pm. And I used the standard shipping option. It was insane.

Mammoth has always been a fast shipper. I've had to wait a day or two for an item that was out of stock but that was an exception.

Mammoth, mouser and tayda.

Slow: smallbear and you could die before your futurelec order gets to you.

Add Allied to the list. Digikey reportedly has a stupid quick pick/pack/ship cycle, but I've never personally used them.

I've had good luck with small, physical size, with Digikey and USPS. There is a super cheap option for small packages.

Ordered from BYOC today at 11:30am PST and exactly an hour later it was shipped (USPS). Nice!

Digikey, in my experience, is super fast. Mouser and Mammoth a close second.

My Mammoth order is STILL processing. Seems extremely long. Maybe because I got a drilled/painted 125B? Could that be holding it up or does anyone have experience ordering a painted enclosure from them?

Yep, that can slow things up. If I just get parts they arrive quicker.

In California, for some stuff you might want to try Jameco.

Mouser and USPS screwed me this week. Mouser normally ships same day when I ordering the morning, but didn't do that this past Friday. They waited until Tuesday. Not bad because they are usually a 2 day turn around for me (order Monday, get Wednesday type deal), so i assumed i get it Thursday, but my USPS sort facility has had the package since Wednesday night and hasn't sent it to my local office yet........

This is definitely an exception for Mouser, though. They try and get me to ship UPS or FEdEX but either company takes at least a week to me from anywhere in US.

Mammoth did end up shipping my parts today. I definitely think it was because of the enclosure. Anyways, I'm excited. And thanks for that link drezdn!

I was gonna mention Mammoth, never had to wait on any back-ordered stuff.

Considering where it's coming from, Tayda has been fairly quick to me.....I wanna say both orders arrived exactly a week later....and both were pretty big (roughly $80 and $100+........not a mint, but a pretty big pile of 1 cent parts/etc)

Does anyone have experience comparing USPS to UPS? My order from Mammoth shipped UPS and they don't move packages on the weekends - where, USPS does (Saturday at least). I'm thinking USPS for parts might always be faster/cheaper. Anyone have input?

Just got another order from BYOC shipped USPS this time: Ordered on the 23rd, arrive on the 25th!
USPS trumped UPS

I placed my first order with Mammoth Sunday pm 2/19; it shipped 2/20 at 9:19am and arrived in Socal 2/23 via USPS, least expensive shipping option. I've also had BYOC ship stuff via USPS and UPS, it has been about the same delivery time either method, just way cheaper with USPS.

The advantage of the private carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc) is the traceability and insurance for more valuable orders. However, if you have ever tried to collect on that insurance.......you just started a new short term hobby.

Here's another case-in-point for Newark:

I ordered 28 Feb at 3pm. Package is going to be delivered this afternoon (1 March). So 48 from pressing submit to opening the box is pretty damn awesome.

Their policy is that if you order before 8pm Eastern, it goes out that day via UPS or FedEx. And I don't just mean they print a shipping label. It's actually on a truck that day.

Shipping was reasonable: $6.50 for UPS Ground standard. The only downside to Newark is that they charge everyone sales tax, regardless of your location.

You can take CJ's post, change the time to the 28th at 6pm and it's out for delivery now. Little more shipping, have a spool of wire in there, but it will be here soon.

its the same idea as digikey canada, if you order from them by 8pm BC time, which would be 11pm here in ontario, its shipped that day and arrives the next. super quick but its spendy for their shipping, not as bad as stupid mousers flat 20 + weight to canada, stupid mouser
