Lots of ribbon cable left.

If you can build pedals you can build modular synths. Why don't you DIY? A full FC>UK modular ain't gonna be cheap. Just the two modules in this thread would run you $400.........

I'm building this system just for me, but also planning to release a few original modules designs.

Wonderful - there's no point in saying I want one 'cos I can't afford it. I like it because it has a very high coefficient of twiddling (this is a physics term meaning a large number of knobs for the size. The correct scientific units are "knobs per square metre".)

Ridiculously cool, which is sort of the norm for you, isn't it? Did you pick up the faceplates somewhere, or did you machine them yourselves?

You couldn't point me towards some decent references about building up modular synth stuff, could you? I keep meaning to get started (most of my friends are synth, rather than guitar, people and keep asking me . . .)

Thanks Robert.

If you wanna get into synth building there are a couple of good forums:

http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=17
http://electro-music.com/forum/index.php?f=112

...as well as a plethora of DIY sites, here's a couple:

http://www.cgs.synth.net/
http://yusynth.net/index_en.php

I'm offering PCBs on the synth DIY forums for all my synth projects too, becoming a synth guru (apparently!)....

Link?

I just started with a couple MFOS modular projects but most of their circuit boards are too large to fit in a eurorack case :?

The book in the middle by Adrian Legg is worth big bucks, it's got series wiring techniques and tons of tricks. I seriously recommend that book to anyone and everyone who wants more out of their guitar pickups. It's way out of print and I still see them once in awhile on the net for sale
