Does anyone have any favorite mods for the current version Analog Chorus?

I did the vibe mod for it, put on a small switch. It works fine, is easy to do, but isn't something I'd ever use, having done it.

Thanks for that. I saw a YouTube demo of the vibe mod and it didn't sound great to me and not like something I would use, so you've confirmed my thoughts.

The pedal is built and working now and I would like to decide on any mods before the enclosure is painted. I'm thinking that effect level and or depth mods would be most useful but I've not found any for this version yet.

different strokes: I use that mod all the time - gives my tone a cool Bill Frisell feel with the depth kinda low and the speed real slow...

Fair comment, I may have to reconsider... I generally like that type of switched mod on the basis that there is nothing to lose, so it's worth the cost of a switch.

The standard build sounds great but I'd like to know how to do the other mods.

I have a VB-2 clone on my other board with the chorus mod on that. This chorus with the Vib mod is the analog to that pedal on another (smaller) pedal board. That wobble is part of my sound, so as always YMMV :) it's certainly not to everybody's taste and does not apply to all style. And you're right: it's an easy and cheap mod that makes the pedal more versatile so why not?

The "why not" generally works in cases like this where the switch "undoes" the mod. The depth mod is similar as long as one of the settings is the original cap value.

I've located the Tonepad mods now, which are a good starting point. I just need to work out if I can mount the switches on top, or if they end up on the sides - or if a bigger enclosure works better.

Mount them on the side mate! If you don't like the mods, the switches wont bother you that much anyway :)

I know what you mean Kunfuz - my first 3 BYOC builds all have side mounted switches added. If I do the effect level mod I will have to raise the pcb a bit to clear the third pot, so there will be plenty of room for the switches on the shoulders. I was just thinking I might put the chorus in a BB and use the enclosure for something else - I have several builds in the pipeline that would fit nicely.
