Hey does anyone know how to reduce the amount of compression on the new Vintage Compressor kit, the sustain knob is all of the way off and is still just a little too much compression for my taste.

That seems odd. You do have the Sustain and Volume pots in the correct places, right? Anyway...

With the Sustain pot set to it's minimum setting the pot is essentially removed from the circuit leaving only R18 (27K) in the sustain portion of the circuit. If the minimum setting isn't low enough you can try replacing R18 with a lower value to see if that suits you better. I'd recommend cutting the resistance in half as a starting point.

Thanks Stephen I will check the pot layout, I did label the knobs wrong on the box maybe I got the pots backwards too! Went to a UFO concert in 1979 to see Schenker and someone else was filling in. In 1990 or 91 while on vacation in Florida MSG was playing at a local theater so I went and after 3 songs the place was evacuated due to a smoldering fire started by cigarette, wanted to hear Doctor Doctor...
