Just finished the EF on my desk for like the last year...yeah I know. And it's got a lot of buzz behind it. Not something I feel comfortable giving my Brother in Law...I have a feeling I need to redo all my wiring as I may have a pot wiring problem or even a new footswitch...I suck when it comes to braided wire. Any other culprits without photos? I don't have my camera cable here but will upload in the morning or tomorrow sometime.

so yeah, I'm going to just give up and order a bunch of new parts and completely rewire the thing. It's just too ugly to attempt to fix.

I noticed no one wanted to agree with me without pictures. I took everything out to look at it and god my wiring is so bad, it's got to be the wiring causing an awful buzz right?

If you know, or think, that the wiring is the issue, then that would be the place to start...

Without pictures, I am reluctant to say anything is the issue since I cannot see what you are looking at, I have no clue what it could be...maybe something is in the wrong place, upside down, connected wrong, but I have no way to know for sure without pictures. Because I have seen/heard about badly/sloppy wired pedals that still work, so it may or may not be just the wiring, it could possibly be any number of other things, I just cannot say for sure, since I cannot see it.

But as previously stated, if you think the wiring is the issue, then perhaps work on that, and then see/hear what happens. Wiring is essentially what can bring a pedal to life or keep it dead since the power and audio must travel through it...please look at the soldering tutorials found throughout the forum, if you have not already looked at them.

after many hours of desoldering and then rewiring and 4 feet of solid wire the damn thing is working.
