Hi, I just finished the digital reverb pedal, and it generally sounds great, but I'm noticing that when when it's on, some bass gets cut, and the volume gets cut a bit as well. I found this similar topic from a few years ago, but the person who posted it didn't say whether he or she figured out the problem:
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=20980&p=160576&hilit=reverb+destroys#p160576I've double checked all the component values, soldering, wiring, etc. (of course it's still possible that I missed something).
Here is a sound sample:
http://bryandonovan.com/byoc/byoc_reverb_tone.mp3That's a G&L Blues Boy in the neck humbucker position through a DIY Foxx Tone Machine to a Reeves Custom 12. The reverb's knobs are all turned 100% counter-clockwise (so, no reverb effect heard in the recording). The first bit is without the reverb pedal on.. then you hear a click when I turn it on.
I hear the same thing in the clean tone, but it's less obvious and it didn't come through well in a recording. I also hear the same thing when I use different distortion/fuzz/overdrive pedals with the reverb pedal.
I also added a Boss pedal in various spots in the chain to see if its buffer would help, but no difference.
Attached is a screen shot of the waveform in garage band. You can see that the volume dips when I turn on the reverb.
I'll add some pictures of the pedal circuit shortly. Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryan
