Hello BYOC, I recently completed the Vibrato kit and it sounds awesome, but as usual, it "needs" mods, and so I looked some up and found the LFO mod using a rotary switch with different caps. Can anyone that has done this mod post a soundclip of 4 different LFO cap pairings or at least give me a decent description (describing sounds with words... I know...) or compare it to some other pedals' sounds? I've search the forums and youtube and no luck.

I have the rotary switch and caps and I really want to do this mod, but if I use the included enclosure, I'm going to have to do some major rearranging of the guts to make the rotary switch fit and drill more holes into the enclosure (I already have the chorus mod and intensity mods in there, with the switches taped to the outside of the enclosure), or I can order a bigger enclosure but I would still need to get the tools to drill the appropriate holes myself (or find someone who has the tools to do it for me).

Long story short: I just want to know if the rotary switch mod is worth all the trouble it's going to cost me. I have a habit of modding for the sake of modding, so I want to know if this is a mod that one could use tastefully in songs before I go and possibly deface an already awesome vibrato kit.

Thanks!

I didn't care for it all that much. I'd suggest just installing sockets in the mod positions and trying different cap pairs to see for yourself what you'd get from the rotary switch.

ya I just did the mod yesterday and while it's neat, I don't really see a practical use for it and I don't see a huge difference between settings.. I feel like I can dial in those sounds with the pots instead of using a rotary with different caps. Thanks anyways!
