When I try to install the tranny's they are very loose and if I try to push them in further the leads will bend.

This is the last step in my 5 knob comp build, even did the new jumper fix, and I'm very eager to hear the the comp in action.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I use a small set of needle nose pliers to widen the spacing of the leads so they match up better with the spacing of the sockets. Then I cut about 1/4" off the ends of the leads. Then I line up the leads with their socket and gently rock the tranny back and forth as I slowly push it in. You should be able to feel them slide in about 1/8" or so to know that they are properly seated in the sockets.

It's ALIIIIIVE !!...

Thank you Stephen, The tranny's went in easily and quickly after following your advice.

And it works GREAT! Plenty of boost and sustain, and that's just running through a Zoom G2 and headphones.

We have a gig this evening and I'll put it through it's paces, can't wait.

The pic that Stephen posted should be sticky'd, for other first timers.

Just added it to my "Tips for a Successful Build" thread in the DIY Discussion Forum.
