Hi, guys. I built this pedal a while back and have been using only the green ringer potion of it, as I was unable to get the comp portion working. The LED changes color just fine when the knob is turned, but there is no signal coming through whatsoever (with the exception of the "ringer only"). Some pics for your perusal. The rotary switch solders are a bit ugly due to the fact that I put it in incorrectly the first time and had to de-solder it, remove it, and then re-solder it. So, advice you guys have to get the comp side working would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the pictures....lets see here....

c9 looks to be installed backwards. Correct that first and see what happens.

In general, the solder work looks a bit sloppy and could use to be cleaned up, retouched, trimmed down a bit. It looks like you're using more solder than necessary. This isn't the worst thing in the world, but it general looks messy and could lead to a few other problems (components grounding out on others, solder bridges)

On a positive note, the ringer side is working fine, so you're on the right track.

Forgive my ignorance, but could you explain to me what "C9" is?

Ok, I think I found it. I reversed C9, and now it works. I'm off to bias the trim-pot a bit more. Thanks!!!

Awesome, I'm glad you got it working. FYI, the sweet spot on the trim pot is usually in the first quarter turn....or at least that's where most people have found it.

Well, here's my next question. I could find no real info on how to properly set-up the compressor side. Where should the level control be when adjusting the trimpot? What position should the toggle switch be in?

I find that I have to have the level knob almost all the way up just to get unity gain when the compressor is engaged.

Set the rotary switch to Compressor mode with the toggle switch in the center position and the level turned up all the way. Now follow step 2 under "Finishing Up & Troubleshooting" on page 15 of the build instructions.
